Six Weeks

An interpretation of Groundhog Day.  Essentially, a shadow envelopes a forest (which is meant to represent six more weeks of winter (hence the title)).

The pace suites your subject. It has a nice slow but anticipation that goes along with it (the music helps a lot with that). I like how you make the shadow seem like a villian of sorts. The animation was really well drawn and runs smoothly. I also enjoyed the moving images in the background that were opaque versus the moving animation. those two things coincided really well and gave your piece a nice texture. i can't really think of any areas that need improvement, but a suggestion might be to have an area of your short that doesnt have as much going on as the rest of the film? That's all i can really think of though. you did a great job!

yes! this is one of my favorites. The texture of the piece works well and creates a nice composition. the scratchy quality adds mystery and suspense to the animation, keeping me entertained from beginning to end. everything including the hand rendered images and the music is well paced. the ended where the shadow over takes everything is so well built up and the bang at the end seals the deal. great job.
