Sam

I didn't get to the point of animating any of my project, so all I have is an image and my sound file, but Heather said I should upload it anyway. I was going to do an ad for Outback steakhouse, showing different kinds of Australian animals (kangaroos, bearded dragons, platypus) all converging on an Outback restaurant. Each animal had a specific sound associated with their appearance and a different kind of animation; the kangaroos were going to be rotoscope, the lizard puppet animation, and the platypus traditional hand-drawn animation.

Works: The Idea sounds great because I could really see all the animals in the video coming together and landing on top of the restaurant. I think you could make this look really good. The sound is perfect for outback also--Australian. I remember the tracing of animals you did in Graphic Design Methods and I thought that was really cool so you would do well with this.
Not work: Nothing done yet

Your concept sounds very interesting and like it would make a great commercial. Also, although it is not put together yet, the sound and the image you do have is really nicely done. I can see how it would go together very nicely.

What you have so far is a good start. The sound is well done and creates a visual for the project even without anything animated. The image you have looks good and the different animation styles you chose to combine sounds interesting.
