Closet Monsters

The sound and video aren't in sync at all for some reason so please disregard that.  This is about a kid who's afraid of the monsters in his closet and his imagination running wild while he's laying in bed at night.  http://webpages.uncc.edu/~slpielow/

Works: The monsters were very scary and the music went perfectly with the introduction of the monsters. I like your animation of the little girl blinking giving the idea that she is scared of what is coming.

Not works: the monsters look a little sketchy like the drawings need to be a little bit better or more refined

The concept was very clear in this animation. The sound worked nicely too. I really liked the crisp white lines against the black background. (It gave it a very professional look.) That black and white contrasted a lot with the drawings, which was probably the point. It seemed like the monsters in the closet were looped. (After showing the set of them, it began showing the same set again, over and over.) I think it would have been more interesting if instead of looping them like that, maybe they moved, or at least did not appear in the same place. Monsters in a closet leave a lot o room for creativity so I would have liked to see where it could have gone. I like the styles of the monsters though, although it clashed with the black and white, the style seemed very in and stylish. (As odd as that sounds...) Nice job.
